Speak on an allowed topic

Public Comment on Agenda Items and Public Inquiry are different opportunities. Each speaker gets two minutes, with 15 minutes total for agenda comments and ten minutes for inquiry.

Certain public-hearing matters cannot receive comments through these opportunities. Follow the meeting procedure and identify yourself by name and city. Online participants should use their full name, raise a hand and enable video and audio.

Public hearings and the record

For a scheduled public hearing, the city accepts advance correspondence before noon on hearing day by email to clerks@mapleridge.ca, by mail or via City Hall drop box. Speakers give name and city for the record.

Council cannot accept input once a public hearing has adjourned. Check the specific notice and agenda rather than assuming an ordinary inquiry period can be used to add late hearing evidence.
