Eligibility and amount
The adjustment applies to a reported leak in the private metered water system repaired within 30 days after discovery. The city does not detect or repair private leaks for the owner.
The Collector determines normal consumption before the leak. The credit is half the cost of the excess consumption attributed to that leak, not half of the whole bill. The review can cover the current quarter plus at most the two preceding quarterly bills.

Prepare the evidence
Identify and repair the leak, then read the meter to confirm use has returned to normal. Complete the request and its checklist. Attach repair receipts and photos of the location and repair.
The form asks for owner contact details, property, utility account, repair date, leak location, description and repairs. It accepts up to four files, each subject to its displayed 3.75 MB limit. Missing evidence or an incomplete form delays review.
